SPECIES: TRICERATOPS

both male and female of this species are the same in coloration.

Triceratops, the second largest ceratopsian on the island. This species lives on the islands northern side alongside torosaurus. These animals can be differed from torosaurus by there shorter and rounded frill. And darker colors. These animals have a unique Herd structure as Herds are divided by age. With the adults of the species herding together. After laying eggs the adult herds will leave the nesting site. And the young born in previous years will adopt their newly hatched siblings, and only once reaching adulthood will members of these younger herds leave to join herds of fellow adults. All this makes the Triceratops an interesting dinosaur indeed.
