both male and female of this species are the same in coloration.
Medusaceratops. Unlike most of the island's ceratopsians, this animal is unique as it possesses iridescent scales making it appear blue in certain lighting. Over a year of documentation, it appears the iridescence is used for display, put together with their big frill and striped horns, the males put on a show of color and strength to attract their mates. It’s also been found that this dinosaur prefers to join up in huge herds with members of its own species, Though there have been rare sightings of other dinosaurs in these herds as well, like nasutoceratops. It is thought the nasutoceratops similar blue colors trick the medusaceratops into letting these species travel in their herds, but no one really knows for sure. All this makes the medusaceratops an interesting dinosaur indeed.
