both male and female of this species are the same in coloration.

Proceratosaurus, the island of the Mesozoic's proceratosaurus is a nocturnal predator that like the dilong, it too is an early tyrannosaurid. The islands proceratosaurus also possesses a unique feature not known to their fossil counterparts as it is poisonous. The reason seems to be that komodo dragon DNA was used to give the animal it's dark colors and strong bite, which also seemed to make it poisonous. And just like the komodo dragon, the proceratosaurus uses its bite and poison in the same way. The animal also has a nose crest similar to the ornitholestes, this crest is bright red and is used as a display to the females. Being nocturnal the proceratosaurus has great eyesight allowing it to hunt in the dark. On the island you can find this species only on the south side of the island. Inhabiting the southern forest and the dark forest. All these unique features make the proceratosaurus an interesting dinosaur indeed.
