both male and female of this species are the same in coloration.

Genyodectes was a south american species of ceratosaurid.  Genyodectes is only really known from a fossil of part of its jaws, But from that the signs of a ceratosaurid are clear as its sports the characteristic large teeth simlar to ceratosaurus. When first making the dinosaur for the island we had no idea what the rest of the animal would look like. So it was a complete surprise to see how alike it was to its smaller relative ceratosaurus which also lives on the island. The genyodectes is a carnivore and can reach speeds of up to 22 mph, and can live to be about 30 years in some individuals we've observed. The color patterns of the genyodectes are very contrasting as it has peach as its main color, while red runs down its dorsal with thick black stripes on the sides of the animal, and the bright red head completes the look. The bright red head in particular has been observed to be the main attraction to the females, as in the mating season the males would observe each others head before engaging in a behavior called face biting. And whoever wins would have the right to mate with the females. With all these amazing characteristics, the genyodectes truly is an interesting dinosaur indeed.
