Mononykus. The mononykus is a small agile dinosaur. This species is one of the island's only insect eaters, being found in forested areas at night. The animal's most prominent feature is its long legs, which are used for fast escapes from predators like the dilong that usually hunt this species. The mononykus also possesses large eyes which help it see at night. And rather strange to most dinosaurs the mononykus has one large clawed finger on each hand used for breaking into tree bark to access possible meals that could be hiding inside. And like most dinosaurs, the mononykus is covered in long hair-like feathers. The beak-like snout of the animal has many small serrated teeth which help when biting into the prey it catches. All this makes the mononykus a very interesting dinosaur indeed.
